Good morning, Beverly. Patriots fans across Massachusetts can continue to claim they have the greatest dynasty in NFL history. It was the first big victory felt by Patriots fans everywhere since 2019. Also, we likely have more snow coming. By the time you buy that snow blower, the season will be over (I keep telling myself).

Snow days mean summer school for Beverly students ❄️ 🎒 

Beverly students had a snow day last Thursday, meaning they need to tack on one additional make-up day to their growing list. “Beverly students are already forfeiting much of February vacation and going to school five Saturdays to make up for the time lost to the strike.”

Playing hooky might be more understood the closer these kids get to the Fourth of July. And the students might have some adults in on it. I know I would be.

A local hero is recognized for saving a life ❤️‍🩹 

February 3rd is now known as Jonah Bellew Day in Beverly, MA.

Beverly High School senior Jonah Bellew was honored by the Beverly City Council with "Jonah Bellew Day" for saving his manager's life. Last summer, while working at Salty's Lobster Shack, Bellew performed the Heimlich maneuver on his choking manager, preventing a tragedy.

Mayor Cahill and the council praised Bellew's quick thinking and bravery. Bellew credited his mother for teaching him the life-saving technique. (Shout out to all the moms!)

The Skinny Pancake is coming to Northshore Mall 🥞 🧈 

It’s bulking season my friends. We need to stay warm through this snowy winter.

There’s no better way to do so than to check out the Skinny Pancake at Northshore Mall. “This new location is expected to open in mid-March and will be serving up The Skinny Pancake’s signature four-meal-a-day, seven-days-a-week concept: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert—alongside craft beers, brunch cocktails, espresso drinks, and milkshakes—all within a fast-casual and comfort-focused atmosphere.”

I’ve never tried it, but the pictures look amazing, and the reviews from the White River Junction, VT location are strong.

What else is buzzing 🐝 

• The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) announced its lineup of February school vacation week programming. This year, the agency is offering families 79 free, engaging, and educational programs at 20 state parks and watersheds ranging from guided hikes to animal tracking, craft making, and maple sugaring.

• The Polar Plunge has been postponed to February 23rd.

• The Beverly Farms branch library is still closed. 📑 

• Check out the list of sledding hills near Beverly, Danvers & Hamilton. 🛷 ⛄️ 

• There’s a free February vacation day at Peabody Essex Museum on 2/21. 🎨 

• Presidents' Day is next Monday, 2/17. Trash is delayed a day next week. 🇺🇸

Meet Georgia! This young lady is about 11 months old and hopes to find her forever home! At around 40 pounds this sweet gal is most likely full-grown. They aren't sure what her breed mixes might be, but my best guess is 50% cute / 50% cuddly. Georgia enjoys running along the fence with the other dogs at the rescue but she hopes to be the only dog in her future home because she is not big on sharing high-value items, like my siblings.
