π Can you beat Mayor Cahill?
The best Beverly trivia questions you'll ever find, an update on City Hall's options, and plenty of awesome events.

Good morning, Beverly. I read this yesterday and I loved it, so Iβm sharing it with you. βA good friend is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have." Hopefully a good friend has some water and Aspirin for you today.

FEATURED EVENT: PERIMENOPAUSE EMPOWERMENT LUNCH SERIES
The virtual Perimenopause Empowerment Lunch Series starts on Mondays at 12pm, March 23 - April 13.
If you were born with ovaries, or support those who were, understanding the menopause transition isn't optional, itβs essential. Women make up half of the worldβs population and most will spend up to 40% of their lives in some stage of menopause. In the Menopause Lunch Series, we learn about and normalize the 52+ symptoms of menopause, explore research on early and late onset, and unpack the current treatment standards endorsed by leading menopause experts - along with the latest research on the horizon.
Knowledge is power. Support is here. And yes - there is hope.ποΈ Join us below!
THE DIGEST
Local Trivia Titans π§
It turns out that knowing exactly when Aerosmith rocked the Beverly High auditorium is worth a cool $500 for local nonprofits. Mayor Cahill and his team, The Panthizz, clinched a dramatic tiebreaker victory over the City Council team at the March 7 Beverly 400+ Trivia Night at the North Shore Music Theatre.
But the question is: Do you think you know Beverly well? And can you beat Mayor Cahill and his team when it comes to being all-knowing about Beverly trivia? You can test your wits against the official questions, covering everything from the 1692 witch trials to our current day local heroes, Shoebert and Peppy. Iβll just say it was a humbling exercise for me.

City Hallβs Big Move: The Final Two ποΈ
The race to house Beverlyβs municipal functions is down to a head-to-head battle between the Cummings Center and the Cabot Street YMCA while our historic City Hall undergoes a $28 million facelift. Following the bidding deadline in early February, Mayor Cahillβs team is weighing offers between the two locations.
With a move-in date targeted for July 1, the city must decide if it prefers the ample parking and sprawling space of the 100 Building or a more central, potentially split-campus approach on Cabot Street. A recommendation from the Mayorβs evaluation committee is expected shortly, so stay tuned to see where youβll be heading to pay your water bill this summer.
North Shore Eats: Restaurant Updates π₯
Farewell to Que Mas. The restaurant, which opened in July 2024, closed earlier this month and Chef Alex Pineda posted a goodbye (for now) message on Instagram. Que Mas served great food and maintained a fantastic atmosphere. They will be missed!
Hello to Rim Lay, a relatively new Thai restaurant in Gloucester. Specializing in a mix of homestyle northern specialties and Bangkok street food, the menu features everything from aromatic Khao Soi and spicy pad krapow to a unique cranberry-infused crab rangoon.
